Production Manager Job Description

General Job Description: This is not a sales position. The Colorado Siding Repair Production Manager will be the face of Colorado Siding Repair to our customers and crews during the production process. The Production Manager will act as a representative for the company in a fashion that is in line with our company culture at all times. The Colorado Siding Repair Production Manager will create a culture of superior service and installation through supervision, coordination and evaluation of our subcontractors and crews, and through communication with our customers. 

Job Duties: 

  • Review and approve labor and material orders upon approved sale 
  • Supply Work Orders to Crews as they are approved by the Sales Manager
  • Manage the master install schedule for Colorado Siding Repair and make any adjustments for customer requests and weather 
  • Oversee material ordering, crew scheduling, and deliveries for all projects
  • Walk crews through the start of every project at scheduled start 
  • Immediately answer any concerns a customer may have when calling into the office
  • Address punch-lists, repairs, and warranty call-backs immediately 
  • Arrange material returns and dumpster pickup upon project completion
  • Document everything in writing and photos in CRM application 
  • Provide monthly training on installation and safety to the Colorado Siding Repair staff
  • Manage communications between subcontractors and salespeople 
  • Manage communications between subcontractors and homeowners 
  • Manage contact info, documentation and pricing for all subcontractors
  • Set jobsite expectations with crews to meet our inspection process 
  • Verify Subcontractor pay invoices and supply to Admin team for payment weekly
  • Communicate with customers to ensure a great customer experience 

Job Expectations: 

  • Sign off on Final Inspections within 48hrs of Job Completion 
  • To promote Colorado Siding Repair’s values and culture in everything we say and do
  • To refine material ordering process ensuring highly accurate material supplies are on site at the start of every project with minimal need for returns or supply runs
  • To obtain the best pricing for materials and labor from Colorado Siding Repair vendors and subcontractors using a quarterly review process
  • To maintain quality control by supervising the workmanship of Colorado Siding Repair installers in coordination with the Field Supervisor and the Sales Reps 
  • To work to improve the production processes of Colorado Siding Repair at all times 

Job Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of prior Project Management experience 
  • Working knowledge of project management principles and software tools
  • Experience with a CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft 360, Acculynx, JobNimbus, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in the Exterior Contracting trades (Roofing, Siding, Windows)
  • Familiarity with James Hardie siding and installation Best Practices 
  • Tech savvy with intermediate Microsoft Office or Google G-Drive Office skills
  • Colorado Drivers’ License and clean driving record 
  • Ability to speak conversational Spanish with some crew members a bonus 

Training Period: 

  • The first 30 days are considered your training period during which you will be provided with an initial two weeks of training in the office and ongoing field training with one of our current Supervisors 
  • Days 31-90 all responsibilities will be handed over to the prospective Production Manager on a probationary period 

Reporting Authority: 

  • Reports directly to Head of Production 

Positions Managed: 

  • Crews & Subcontractors 
  • Field Supervisor 

Compensation: 

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience 
  • Incentive-based quarterly bonuses
